Situation.

It is in the region south oriental of the Peru with territory of sierra and forest located at 1687KM from Lima, via Arequipa and Puno.

Climate.

For the high areas, the nights are usually cold, and temperature during the day with dry and humid periods, being the months of rain form December to March the Cuzco usually has a mean annual temperature of 11 C with and altitude of 3360m.

Historical hints.

The Cuzco was founded around the XI and XII centuries BC. by the Manco Kapac Inca,  who arrived comming form the Titicaca the well-know sacred lake and founded the capital of the inca or Quechua empire, also know as Tawantinsuyo that ended up embracing Ecuador, Colombian, Peru, Bolivia, Argentina and Chile.

In 1534 Francisco Pizarro founded the Spanish City on the foundations of the inca¥s city being achieved the combination of the two cultures.

Cuzco unbroken town, was cradle of big rebellions against the spain domain, like that of Tupac Amaru II for example, that happened in 1871, and that for Angulo brothers and that of Pumahuaca in 1814.

Starting from 1825 Cuzco is part of the republic of the Peru until the present time, being considered the archaelogical capital of America, where one can visit the imposing Machupicchu, the sacerd valley, Ollanta or the unforgettable visit to Cuzco city.
