It is one of the six highest peaks in the Royal Andean mountain chain at 6.150 m.
Together with Chiarhoco, they form a mass embedded between the Illampu-Ancohuma massif and the Condoriri region, representing the Northern Royal chain.
Great expanses of snow and crevasses alternating with innumerable snowy peaks form a circular barrier around the summit of Chachacomani.
This means that the mountaineer has to discover Chachacomani before he can climb it.
Geographically, it is little known. Consequently, is has many secrets concealed within.
The abrupt fall of the land with deep and closed valleys forms micro-climates and lakes which are adequate for many species of birds.
