Condor’s Head 5648 m

The Condor’s head is part of the Condoriri mass. This mass located in the heart of the Royal Mountain Range has the particularity of having a single base camp for the twenty summits that constitute it. It is for that reason that this summit is usually reached at the same time with others. We describe only known ascensions of this little mass. If some other ascension interests you, please, contact us. The Condor’s head mountain takes that name because when one observes it next to the two

his trekking takes place on a pre-Columbian path in the Quimsa Cruz Mountain Range. It joins the high mountain with the valleys which slopes are covered of more and more dense vegetation. The path goes again in direction to the Yungas and to the hot springs lost in the middle of the nature. Besides, the Quimsa Cruz Mountain Range is an undiscovered destination for tourists; you will probably be the only trekkers. One of the main attractions of this trek is the granite peaks that we pass

Illimani 6.438m

Its strategic position with respect to La Paz has permitted the city to demonstrate to the world that it is a city with exceptional characteristics; thus, Illimani is the “Symbol of La Paz”. Without a doubt, this is a great mountain with an extensive history behind it. From the year 1877 to the present day, its flanks and summits have been the site of innumerable great adventures. It has three main summits of which the south peak, called “Laikha Kollu” (the Enchanted mountain) is the highest at

The Little Alpamayo 5370m

The Little Alpamayo (Alpamayo Chico, or Fab) is a 5370 meter (17618 feet) mountain that is part of the Condoriri Massif, named for its resemblance to the less well-known face of Alpamayo Peru, is a summit barely visible from base camp Tuni-Condoriri Valley. From Laguna Chiar Khota (Laguna Negra aymara) to the south, its summit just behind the Tarija is discovered (which necessarily must rise when we move into the Little Alpamayo). Piramide White 5.230m

The White Pyramid owes its name to the similarity with a pyramid, it is one of the several mountains that are part of the group Condoríri, currently and due to global warming has more rock than snow. It is a climb that is done quickly and without too much difficulty – apart from cracks – but very pretty gratifying especially for those who love mountains, this area has other climbing options, ideal for acclimatization to more than 5000 meters. Licancabur 5918m

The Licancabur (5918m), that in Kunsa language means “The People’s Mountain”, is the volcano of the Lípez Mountain Range that dominates the famous Green Lagoon. The ascent to the summit going through a stony place is relatively tough but the panoramic view of the desert of South Lipez makes it worth the effort. This volcano is exactly located on the border between Bolivia and Chile but it is climbed up on the Bolivian side. The main thing of the Licancabur tour is not only its ascent itself

Chachacomani 6074m

It is a summit of difficult access, but it is worth the effort to climb it because it is 6000m relatively not very technical one and it is a very short journey. The approach march to the high camp is rather long therefore it requires of a good physical condition.   The first time the Chachacomani, a 6000m high mountain not very well known located to the north of the Royal Mountain Range, was climbed was in 1974 by F. Fritz and G. Buchholtz (Germany) and G.

Parinacota 6333m

The Payachatas (twins) are placed face to face. One of them is the Parinacota and the other one is the Pomerape. They are located in the National Park Sajama near the Chilean border. The slope is relatively slight. The Parinacota is the typical volcano in almost perfect cone shape. Its ascension from a technical point of view is easy; however it constitutes a long journey in the height. Therefore only time is required to ascend the 1230 meters of difference. The crater of the Parinacota is magnificent.

Chearoco 6127m

Chearoco is a big peak which looks a lot more impressive close up than from the altiplano, from where it is partly obscured by fore peaks. It can be accessed from the west and east, with the western approach via the Kelluani valley being quickest. This approach has been avoided for years due to reports of foreigners having difficulties with the locals but is now safe.
