All One Day

Around 7.30 am you will be picked up from your hostel / hotel. The 2 hour drive passes through El Alto and on the Altiplano where you begin to see the Andean landscape and mountain ranges. We arrived at Chacaltaya ski lodge (5200 m) spend some time there to admire the stunning scenery. From the refuge we will climb to the first peak of Chacaltaya (5300 m) and see what used to be the highest commercial ski resort in the world. Unfortunately now the glacier has receded so much due to global warming there is very little skiing possible, but the views are still worth the effort. There is a second peak that we headed to before making a descent towards the left side and down towards the Milluni valley.

Once in the valley we will pass through llama pastures and Milluni where there is a lagoon. All this time we will walk towards the majestic figure of the mountain Huayna Potosí, to 6088 m. At some distance after the lagoon we will ascend the path to the Huayna Potosi refuge where we will rest to savor the sights and meet with our transportation back to La Paz. You should arrive in La Paz around 5 / 6pm (depending on your trekking speed and traffic).
