The Mururata, which holds an altitude of 5,869 meters above sea level, is part of the Cordillera Real and the view from its western side, is flat and elongated.

Illimani is adjacent to and near the seat of government, which is 40 miles away, in fact, its location corresponds to the Pedro Domingo Murillo Province in this department. The Mururata is a flat topped mountain with 2 km . of width and 8 km . of long. The normal route does not show any difficulty.
